Seelaus Announces the Addition of Jeff Burdeshaw to Lead Buyback and ECM Efforts
Summit, NJ, December 3rd, 2018 - R. Seelaus & Co., Inc., a full service investment firm and certified women’s business enterprise (“WBE”), is pleased to announce its hiring of Jeff Burdeshaw to expand the Capital Markets origination and syndication efforts into the Equity space. With the addition of Jeff, an equity specialist with more than 20 years of equity buyback, trading, capital markets, and research experience, Seelaus broadly diversifies its Capital Markets capabilities to fully encompass both the debt and equity sectors.
The Seelaus Capital Markets team has quickly established themselves as a leader in the Women-Owned Business space, having underwritten close to seventy bond offerings since the beginning in April of 2017. Seelaus has been active with a broad range of issuers including Utility, Industrial, Financial, Technology, Media, Telecom, and High Yield clients.
Chief Executive Officer Annie Seelaus says “The exponential growth of our presence in the Diversity and Inclusion space has exemplified Leslie and Jim’s ability to build and cultivate strong and lasting relationships with issuers. Hiring Jeff to launch the firm’s equity efforts was the natural next step to providing continued support to our clients for all of their unique needs.”
“Our goal as we began to build out the Capital Markets business was to provide issuers with a multidimensional platform to service all their needs from the primary market through to secondary distribution” added Jim Brucia, Co-Head of Debt Origination and Syndicate. “We have had continued support through repeat transactions with issuers and after participating on our first equity transaction this September, it was clear the timing was right to build out the origination and syndication efforts on the equity side.”
Leslie Graves, Co-Head of Debt Origination and Syndicate, echoed the sentiment of the team saying, “We are thrilled to have Jeff join the Capital Markets team. His experience in equity buybacks and ECM throughout his career and more specifically in the minority firm space is a huge value add that will enhance our ability to serve our clients at the highest level.”
Jeff previously worked at The Williams Capital Group, L.P. where he was primarily responsible for the execution of corporate repurchase programs and equity syndicate.
